Everything is wrong, at least when you compare it to what we as Bible-believing Christians would like it to be. The problem is not that we don't pray hard enough, or that we didn't get down on our knees, or didn't have just 'one-more-prayer-meeting'. The problem cannot be solved by any political party, nor by 'church folk'; in fact, it's really not a problem at all.
What looks like a symptom of our moral decay appears to mimic those sinking ship disaster movies where the captain just won't believe his vessel is slowly rolling over. The tilt is accellerating further and further into the 'end-time zone'; we see Bible prophecy being fulfilled each and every day as it's increasingly apparent the Lord is no longer tossing us a steady stream of blessing pins from the heavenly bowling alley. I wonder how much longer before He decides the timeline is right to usher in a full-blown Biblical episode of 'Revelation'...
Yes, the situation appears bleak, indeed...but to God, and those of us who understand what's happening, we continue to daily make more steps closer to His return. As much as it sounds like a copout to say 'God has everything under control', the truth is that God's ultimate plan has always been in full swing---and those of us with 'ears-to-hear' can easily see that it's not a 'problem', nor a 'symptom'. Rather a confirmation of His Word.
I can't believe that so many Christians are still running around decrying "if we pray harder, God will hear us", and "...now's the time to get serious with prayer". Instead of continuing to beg God for more blessings, our prayers should now more focus on praising Him for His magnificence and His continued promise for His people; for mercy upon us, and for judgement upon those who refuse to believe.
Unlike the ship's horn blast that warns of imminent rollover, if your ears have heard, you know that God's trumpet calls are heralding a new phase of His Kingdom.
God's on a roll.
